To receive free travel, your child must have a National Entitlement Card (NEC) or a Young Scot NEC which has to be scanned each time they board a bus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE THAT AN EXISTING YOUNG SCOT CARD WILL NOT WORK AND THEY NEED TO APPLY FOR A NEW CARD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who does not have a new style card will not be eligible for free travel and will have to pay the normal fare.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for a new card, please <a href=\"http:\/\/getyournec.scot\">click here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For anyone aged under 16 years of age, the parent\/guardian must apply.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Kind regards<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kerr<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the 31st\u00a0January, Transport Scotland are introducing\u00a0free bus travel to everyone in Scotland aged from 5-21 years of age.
