{"id":4626,"date":"2021-01-13T12:55:08","date_gmt":"2021-01-13T11:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/LourdesSecondarySchool\/?p=4626"},"modified":"2021-01-13T12:55:08","modified_gmt":"2021-01-13T11:55:08","slug":"ipad-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/LourdesSecondarySchool\/2021\/01\/13\/ipad-solutions\/","title":{"rendered":"iPad Solutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Dear all,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">We are aware that there are a number of issues surrounding iPads at the moment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Education Scotland are still investigating the intermittent problems with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft applications on the iPad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">CGI (IT Support) are currently addressing proxy issues repeatedly appearing on the iPads, unfortunately we are unable to fix this at present and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.\u00a0I hope to have an update soon regarding this.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">If \u201c<b>Proxy Authentication Required<\/b>\u201d does appear on the iPad pupils should take the following steps:<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Click settings<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Type in School Computer Username<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Type in School Computer Password<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"color: #767676;font-size: 19px\">If \u201c<\/span><b style=\"color: #767676;font-size: 19px;font-style: italic\">Proxy Authentication Required<\/b><span style=\"color: #767676;font-size: 19px\">\u201d reappears it may be down to the fact that the iPad software needs updated therefore pupils should take the following steps:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Go to Settings<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">General<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Software Update<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Click Update if not currently sitting on IOS 14.3<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"color: #767676;font-size: 19px\">If pupils are unable to access the Internet, it may be that they have clicked \u201cnot now\u201d on the Proxy Authentication Required, therefore they should take the following steps:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Go to Settings<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Safari<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Click on Clear History and Website Data<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Power off iPad<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Power iPad back on<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Click on Safari app<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Proxy will appear a final time and school details should be entered (Username and password for school computer)<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Many thanks, Mrs McMullan (Faculty Head, BECS)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear all, We are aware that there are a number of issues surrounding iPads at the moment.
