{"id":1535,"date":"2013-01-07T14:53:28","date_gmt":"2013-01-07T13:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/LourdesSecondarySchool\/?p=1535"},"modified":"2013-01-07T14:54:20","modified_gmt":"2013-01-07T13:54:20","slug":"finance-apprenticeship-programme-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/LourdesSecondarySchool\/2013\/01\/07\/finance-apprenticeship-programme-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance Apprenticeship Programme 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Morgan Stanley\" src=\"http:\/\/static-imgs-acf.hereisthecity.com\/20110721\/\/\/hitcl\/\/me_809.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"256\" height=\"192\" \/>\u2018In recognition that times are changing, Morgan Stanley now appreciates that not all school leavers will have the means or the interest in pursuing a university degree.\u00a0 For those who are both ambitious and academically strong we would like to offer an alternative &#8211; an opportunity to study towards a professional qualification while gaining both practical industry experience and earning a salary.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the success of the Programme which was introduced in 2011, in September 2013 we will be looking to start further school leavers on the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification through our Finance Apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->This will be a 3 year programme during which we will support the students through AAT, whilst developing both their technical and soft skills within a work environment.\u00a0The AAT qualification provides students with practical accounting and financial skills while developing their grasp of business.\u00a0 It is designed to give students expertise that they can use in the real world, an opportunity to learn the theory of accounting while putting it into practice too.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, if you are in 5th or 6th year and have or will have the qualifications, please apply via the link below.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum criteria for the programme is:<\/p>\n<p>4 Higher Grades at BBBC (1 sitting) or 4 Higher Grades at BBBB (2 sittings) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
