On the 21st of March 2013, Mrs Innes the Quality Improvement Officer for Glasgow City Countil visited Lourdes Secondary School in Cardonald, Glasgow.
Mrs Innes has visited 13 schools in Glasgow including Lourdes over the last few months. She doesn’t just visit Secondaries but also visits primary schools, nurseries and disability schools too. Normally she spends time in classes with children either observing great learning and teaching and best practice or discussing with pupils and teachers all the reasons why they love their subjects.
Today she visited one of our English classed and said “the class was brilliant! The work they were producing was of a very high standard. I am very impressed”. She also made positive remarks about our school uniform and how smart and intelligent we look. She loved the blazers as she felt that they made us look very “respectable” and “sophisticated” . Mrs Innes said that she loved the buzz about the school and the positive ethos felt in the classrooms where the children she visited were hard at work. She has been very impressed by the level of maturity shown by the pupils she has met on her visit to Lourdes.
