How old were you when you started judo?

Claire: I was about seven.

Why did you start judo?

Claire: My cousin was into it and I wasn’t going to any clubs at that point so my mum said it would be good for me to start something.

So far, how many medals have you won?

Claire: So far I have over forty medals.

Wow! What is the biggest championship you have been to?

Claire: I have fought at the British Championships for my category.

How did you feel when you went in?

 

Claire: Nervous. The mat I was fighting on looked very daunting and everyone seemed taller than me.

Were you successful in that championship?

Claire: I won a bronze.

How did you feel when you won that medal?

 

Claire: Good. I was happy to get a medal but I was a bit disappointed because I felt I could have done a bit better.
