What is happening in the city of Glasgow?

There are many interesting thing happening in Glasgow now and in the future. Here are some of the events happening in and around Glasgow soon.

 

 

The 2014 Commonwealth Games (officially the XX Commonwealth Games) will be held in the city of Glasgow over 11 days of competition. The games will begin on the 23rd of July and end on the 3rd of August.

Venues

There will be 14 venues used for the Games including the Athlete’s Village. Here are the venues that will be used:

• Hampden Park

• Tollcross International Swimming Centre

• Royal Commonwealth Pool

• Scotstoun Sports Campus

• Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails

• Glasgow Green Hockey Centre

• Ibrox Stadium – Closing Stadium

• Athlete’s Village
