As part of our learning, we have been looking at Children’s Rights. We focused on 4 categories and these are 4 things that children should have. The categories are survival, protection, development and participation.
We used our research skills to find out more about the 4 categories and watched video clips to get more information. Using a search engine like Google helped us get more information and we used key words to make sure we got the correct information.
For this task, we worked in groups and created an information poster for each of the categories. Some groups added in illustrations and visuals into their poster which was good. Our skills in working with others have improved in some ways but sometimes people just let other people do all the work.
The final part of this task was to present our findings to the rest of the class. Each group stood up and spoke to the class, telling them what they had learned. We had to organise ourselves as a group and decide who was saying which part. We had to speak loud and clear so that our audience could hear what we were saying and learn from what we were saying.
My favourite part of the task was using a search engine to research Children’s Rights. This was my favourite part because I like researching and using the internet.
