Our school community have been collecting food items and toiletries over the past month. P6/7 sorted the items into sections and we have passed them on to an organisation called Positive Action Housing. Positive Action Housing do fantastic work supporting refugees and migrants to rebuild their lives.  Thank you to the St. Albert’s family for your generous donations. These items will go a long way in helping people this Christmas.

Here is a sneak peak of some of our filming for our Nativity Scene.

Our scene told the story of Mary and Jesus travelling to Bethlehem. As we have been learning about different genres of music this term, we decided to tell the story of the journey to Bethlehem through music. We chose songs related to travel, being on a journey and going somewhere.

We travelled in the snow, through space, under the sea, in the woods and in the jungle, all to get to Bethlehem. We used props to enhance our scene and carried our movements for whichever way we wanted to travel. Mary and Joseph wore face masks along the way, used hand sanitiser to stay safe and faced some obstacles when trying to pass through council borders as this is against Covid 19 guidelines.  Oops!

We had fun working with the filmmakers and can’t wait to see the finished product. Watch this space for the link to St Albert’s Nativity Performance 2020.

HO HO HO!! Santa Claus visited P6/7 on Friday to drop off some selection boxes for us. This made us so excited for Christmas coming.

Simmal received  Pupil of the Week at the same time, delivered by Santa’s Little Elf. Well done Simmal, you are the Dancing Queen.

We had lots of fun dancing with Kate on the MUGA on Friday. We learned new dance moves, came up with our own and danced to some great music. It was a good way to exercise and have fun at the same time. Check out our moves …
