Homework, home learning and term 2 learning map

Hi,

Here is the learning map for term 2.

If you have not done so already, please help your child sign into Teams.  This is where you will find all of your child’s homework which is posted as an assignment. Homework should be uploaded directly to your child’s folder in the Files tab.

All our work is posted on Teams in the Files/Class Materials folder in case your child is asked to isolate. You can click on the folder for that week to access all their work. If you need anything else while your child is isolating you can email me at gw19pattiealexis@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk

Week 1

What a fantastic first week back to school!

We had a very interesting afternoon planting bulbs for the spring and having a visit from BBC Radio Scotland. Some of the children have been interviewed about our vandalism campaign and the Playground Pretty music video the children made. I don’t know when it will be aired yet but I will let you know as soon as I do and post it here.

Have a lovely weekend!

Playground Pretty Campaign

Hello,

I know it’s a holiday but I had some exciting news last night and I wanted to share it with you all.  Our Playground Pretty campaign made it into two papers yesterday! The Sunday Post and Sunday Express printed articles about our efforts to end vandalism.

Our video was mentioned and can now be seen here:

Have a fantastic holiday and well done all of you for a brilliant campaign!

Outdoor Learning Week

Hi,

Please remember it is outdoor learning for the next 2 weeks. It is very important your children come to school with warm clothes and proper shoes, wellies or walking boots are ideal.  All should be bringing waterproofs to school too but a warm jumper is also a good idea as the weather is getting much colder.

Here are some pictures of our learning so far:

MacMillan Fundraiser

Hi,

P5 voted and we have decided to do a crazy hair casual dress day on Thursday 24th to raise money for the MacMillan cancer charity.

Pupils should bring £1 and come dressed in their own clothes with a crazy hairstyle.

There are also raffle tickets for sale in class, £1 for a strip of 5. Prizes will be drawn on Thursday 24th September.

Let’s all work together and see if we can raise lots of money for a fantastic charity.
