Thank you to everyone who has sent me work already.  It is really important you do this work while you are isolating.

TASK 1:

We are learning about healthy eating. 🍌🍒🍉🍇🍓🍊🥦🥑🌽🌶

This challenge was suggested by Iggy.  Watch 👀 this video for inspiration and some helpful tips on how to make a healthy smoothie.

So, you will need to find in your house:

1. Some fruit🍌🍎🍐🍉🍒
2. A vegetable🥬🥒🥦🥕
3. Water or juice🧃🚰
4. Honey, yogurt or vanilla (optional)🍯
5. Oats or seeds (optional)
6. Ice (optional)🧊

Make your smoothie and write ✍️ down all of the ingredients and how you made it as a recipe so your class mates can try making yours too.  Extra points for interesting ingredients!

TASK 2:

St Albert’s Primary has been having problems with vandalism 🚯🚭📛in the playground.  Some things have been smashed, set on fire and every morning there is lots of rubbish left.☹️

Our new class project is to try and figure out positive 👍🤝ways of stopping this from happening to our school.

Watch👀 this video of how a person in America dealt with vandalism in a positive way.

We need to come up with ideas 💡of how to keep our playground safe while people are using it.  Have a think and write ✍️down as many ideas as you can of how we can stop the vandalism.  We will use the best ones in our project to KEEP THE PLAYGROUND PRETTY!

To start off, I think it would be a good idea to write ✍️ a letter 📄 to the people who use our playground and let them know how important it is to us and how we expect it to be treated.  You can use this letter template to help.

Your letter must include:

1. The school address in the top right corner.
2. Today’s date under the address📆
3. Start with ‘To Whom it May Concern’
4. The problem you are trying to solve.🚯🚭📛
5. Why the playground is important to you.⚽️🥏🏸🌳🌺🦜🐿🍁
6. How you want them to treat the playground, i.e. putting litter in the bin, not setting things on fire.
7. End with, ‘Yours Sincerely,  From the Pupils in Primary 5’

TASK 3:

We have been learning about personal hygiene 💦🙌 and why it is important.

One thing that is really important at the moment is washing your hands.  Can you please create a poster that shows all the steps for washing your hands.  Make sure it includes how long you need to wash them for and why it is important to do this before you eat and after you go to the toilet.  You can search on the internet for inspiration and to research hand washing.

TASK 4:

The work we are doing from home at the moment is not optional.  It is really important that you are completing these tasks and sending me the work so I can see it.  You all have iPads to help you but I want you all to write me a declaration that promises you will do this work at home.  You can use this template for help.
