P3 have been learning about 3D shapes and their properties.
They created 3D shapes using K’nex pieces to make their own 3D shapes and were able to identify the shape faces and edges.
Have a look at some of their great work.

We had an excellent celebration of World Book Day in P3 this week!
We were so cosy in our jammies and onesies and loved snuggling our teddy bears!
We read parts of our favourite books to each other and Mrs Harker even came to read to us!
Primary 3 created Diwali lanterns with Mrs Bryant to celebrate the festival.
They used a range of materials such as paint, card, glitter and felt to create the lanterns.
The finished product looks spectacular!
Hi everyone! It’s book week in St Albert’s!
To celebrate this we are reading lots of stories this week.
Friday is going to be a “onesie” day. Pupils are being asked to come to school in a onesie or their pyjamas so we can be comfy and cosy while we read our books.
Primary 3 decided that to go along with this, they would like to bring in teddies and their favourite books so we can read them on Friday.
So, if you could come to school in your onesie or pyjamas and make sure you bring your favourite book along and some teddies to keep you company while we do.
Mrs McCafferty cannot WAIT to wear her new onesie to school on Friday!
Primary 3 went on a shape hunting last week. We found lots of different 2D shapes including circles, squares, rectangles, octagons, hexagons and evening a rhombus!
Primary 3 have started to learn about shapes in Maths.
We have been outside to see what shapes we could find in nature.
We also went outside to sort shapes into different categories; regular and irregular shapes.
Have a look at our shape hunting abilities!

Today we tried to beat our personal best for our obstacle course. Both teams won 3 times so it was a draw.
Today we were trying to measure the rainfall. We chose 2 different places on the MUGA to measure the rain but as soon as we set up our measuring cylinders, the rain stopped!
We will try again tomorrow.
We had a special visit from the police this week.
They had a very important message for us and it was all about staying safe around fireworks.
Primary 3 were excellent at answering their questions and even asked the police officers some very important questions too.
Well done P3, and remember to stay
