Some of the things we have been learning this week  –

• alternative ue phonics spellings
• identifying and writing co-ordinates
• writing directions using left, right, forward and back and north, south, east and west
• discussing out topic theme of equality and making positive change
• investigating some different charities which have helped people with a disability or other learning needs
• reading stories to help understand discrimination
• acting out scenarios using a prop
• playing team building games
• evaluating our targets from last term and setting new ones

Acting out being George from ‘This is our house’. We used the hat as a prop to remind us that anything unkind we said wasn’t actually us but George!

 

We discussed how George was discriminating against people that were different to him. Here is our very inclusive class wearing their labels with something that could identity them 🙂
