We have been working hard this week, leading up to our well deserved holiday! Here are some of the things we have been learning –
- non-fiction features in texts
- alphabetical ordering
- writing a report on our BBC trip
- giving change from a variety of money (taking away or using shopkeeper method making up to the total)
- days of the week in Gaelic
- playing rounders
- alternative ie phonics
- features of a leaflet/brochure
- self control and anger management
There have been a few celebrations of different things this week also so we will complete our topic from this term during the first week back, completing our brochures to encourage people to go to Harris, before deciding on our new topic.
We thought of lots of different long i words.
After investigating lots of brochures about the Western Isles we wrote a list of features we could include in our own leaflets and things to do with Harris that we will advertise.
A special assembly to celebrate Miss O’Hagan getting married.
We have also been packing the classroom up today to prepare for our classroom being refurbished over the holiday! So when we get back in April our classroom will be looking shiny and new – we will post some photos in Term 4 for you to see!
Have a fantastic holiday 🙂
