Despite all the festive things that have been happening the past few weeks Class 2 have been working very hard finishing off lots of work. They have been learning –
- telling the time on analogue clocks – o’clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to or 5 minute interval time
- counting in 5s, 2s and 10s
- about Roman numerals and doing some sums using these
- making a roman numeral clock
- answering questions on their reading books to check understanding
- learning spelling words
- about the types of food Romans used to eat – including pheasant and mice!!
- about the Romans in Britain and how it was very difficult fro them to conquer Scotland
- writing a Roman soldier’s diary
- creating a Roman mosaic
