Wednesday 21st Novemeber was a very important date for Class 2. This was the date when work finally began on the accessible path in the outdoor grass area for Isaac’s wheelchair. When complete this will mean Isaac, and the whole class, have this area available to use for their outdoor learning.
We are planning to have an opening of the path when it is completed. Isaac has chosen the name for his path (‘Isaac’s Path’) and we are awaiting delivery of a sign for it.
Progress with the path is going very well and we wanted to share this with you all 🙂
Wednesday – Day 1 – path line sprayed onto ground and digger to dig out the ground to level it off
Thursday – Day 2 – digging up completed and start of paving blocks being put down
Friday – Day 3 – continuation of work paving the path
Monday – Day 4 – blocks to the edge complete
Tuesday – Day 5 – clearing the way
Wednesday – Day 6 – the sides of the path being straightened off
As the work continues outside on the path, inside Isaac and his classmates are starting to plan for the grand opening of the path which will hopefully be next week! We will keep you posted on the progress 🙂
