Our week

I learned how to make paper pumpkins. I cut 7 strips of orange paper then I poked a hole at each end. After that I used a pin to keep the strips together. Next I fanned out the strips to make a circle and I connected them at the bottom with another pin. Finally I added some leaves.  (Sanjog Singh)

I have been practising chimney sums and I challenged myself with Hundreds, Tens and Units. (Aisha Hanif)

I learned about respect.  This is when you help others or maybe open a door for somebody.  You say please and thank you. (Noor Dekkak)

I wrote a creative story about what the teachers did in school when the children were off. I think the teachers were challenging each other to make the best cake. (Aiman Javed)

I learned to do dance moves to the rhythm of a song. (Sofia Zamir)

I learned how to do the spider pose for yoga.  (Mahrosh Waleed)

Outdoor learning week

We learned about hedgehogs.  I know that they hibernate when it is too cold and they have no food left. (Haleema Fatima)

We made our own hedgehogs using clay. We then took them outside to make animations of them building little dens. (Haania Yasin-Iqbal)

I learned how to make bird feeders. There is not much food around for birds because the leaves and berries are falling off the trees. (Rayan Ahmed)

I learned about symmetry and made a symmetrical pattern outside using leaves and twigs. (Sofia Zamir)

We studied an artist called Andy Goldsworthy who makes art using things in nature. We tried to recreate some images.
