These are just a few highlights from the start of our new term. Boys and girls have been developing their confidence and problem solving skills whilst having fun!

We have had a great start to Term 4. We have been very busy and we have been working so hard. In Numeracy we have been learning using concrete materials, This has helped us to be successful in our learning! Today we even used spaghetti straws and penne pasta to help us count in tens and units!

Aleena’s Amazing Achievement!

Well done Aleena!!!

Today Aleena worked hard and used concrete materials to solve addition calculations. At first she said it was too hard and that she couldn’t do it…. but then she changed her mindset, had a go and was successful! Aleena was so proud of her achievement that she asked to write the sums again on paper so she could take her work home to show her mum and dad!

“I did it!… I’m so excited!” (Aleena)

What a fantastic achievement Aleena… I am so proud of you!

Our weekly Learning Log!

Primary 2 have had another busy week. The boys and girls have been working hard and enjoying their learning.

We have been learning about how to describe a character… like Oliver. We have described him by giving descriptive language about how much his life changes! (Idris)

We have been learning about Oliver. In the story Oliver had a bad life and then he had a good life. (Azaan)

We have been learning about Tens and Units with our Tens and Units bag. (Hikmah)

We have been learning about pattern with the same colours and shapes. (Yousaf)

We have been learning about our sounds. This helps us to read books, spell words and write. (Zahraa and Fatimah)

We have been learning about boats. After everybody finished their boat writing we took all our transport work and published it into a book. (Adam and Eesa)

We have been learning new tricky words and we have been spotting words with the same letters like here, there and where. (Hikmah, Hasan and Adam).

Well done boys and girls. I am very proud of al your hard work! Have a lovely holiday!

Love from Mrs HUnter-Andreuccetti.
