We have learned about the modes of transport. These are by air, by land, by rail and by water – Eshal.

As we are working on writing a non-fiction book on transport, we used the ipads explore and write about the feautures of different types of transport.

Today we went along to the cinema to see Moana! When we got there we had to evacuate the foyer of the cinema because of a fire!! The firemen came and told us that we behaved very responsibly and they even let some of us try on their helmet! Although we were a bit disappointed that we didn’t see the film, it was fun to talk to real life firemen!

Miss Kinloch turned out class into a cinema for us when we got back and we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and ate our snacks in the dark!

What a strange day!

This afternoon we played in the open area. Free play allows us to socialise with each other, be creative and solve problems!

This term out reading focus is non-fiction texts!

To help us begin to use dictionaries, we have been learning all about alphabetical order. We worked in pairs to sing the alphabet song and put words in order! We worked with tricky words, words we can sound out and even our teacher’s names!
