Literacy
|
This term we are continuing our Daily Write sessions to improve our “tools for writing”, in particular, focusing on punctuation and connectives. We will also be looking at reading comprehension and will base these tasks around our class novel Goodnight Mister Tom, reading books and our WW2 topic.

Numeracy
|
In Maths we will be working with fractions, learning how to identify fractions, identify equivalent fractions, order fractions on a number line and calculate the fraction of a given quantity. Later in the term, we will work with coordinates, learning how to plot, describe and record the position of a location on a grid using two figure grid references.
In Numeracy, we will be learning to use various written methods and strategies for both addition and subtraction calculations.

Topic
|
For the first half of Term 2, we will be finishing our WW2 topic and will learn about the role women played in the war and also about the holocaust.
We will then move on to our RME topic of religious festivals, where we will investigate how the theme of light and dark runs through them all. |
Health and Wellbeing
|
In Health and Wellbeing we will start work on our new Emotion works programme to learn more about our emotions and to develop new strategies to regulate them. |
