We will be looking at the sounds of letters using our Jolly Phonics Scheme. We will start looking at some of the characters and books in our Oxford Reading Tree reading scheme. We are doing a large focus on pencil control, writing our names and letter formation.

Topic |
Initially we will be revising some well-known nursery rhymes, carrying out a range of activities in relation to the different rhymes. We will then move onto our Fairyland topic, again completing a variety of cross curricular tasks when looking at various Fairytale stories.

Health and Wellbeing |
We have started our Emotionworks programme and will be looking at the various areas such as Emotion words, triggers and behaviours.

Science |
We will be looking at various toys and the energy needed to make them work. We will also begin to look at forces and their effects. |
Other Information |
Homework Information
Reading | Word walls will be issued when children begin to read a new book. Reading books will be sent home once children have completed the book in class. |
Phonics | Phonics homework will be sent home every Friday and should be returned by the following Tuesday to allow books to be updated for the next piece of homework.
