June 2019 – DPS Group partner with local primary school DPS Group linked up with local Warout Primary School to provide support and sponsorship for their first year entering the Fife Goblins Racewall 2019 event.
Director Colin Millar thrived on the opportunity of creating a partnership that continues DPS Groups’ work within the local community and, as a drag race enthusiast himself, the event
was particularly close to his heart.
The school engaged in the project with the Greenpower Education Trust, as part of developing their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) programme.
With DPS Groups’ commitment to the development of the next generation of engineers and technicians, this was a partnership not to be missed.
Colin Millar said:
“A big part of our ethos is to invest time into the future prospects of the industry. It has been great to work with the kids and give them inspiration and skills to give them a flavour of the
type of work involved at DPS Group and I was thrilled to see so many young enthusiastic students invested in the STEAM programme”.
The project included a 15-hour build as well as the children documenting the design build by creating a portfolio from initial conception to finished car, highlighting the pitfalls and
challenges and also how they overcome potential problems in the engineering of the race car.

We are now certified as a ‘Kitbag School’ with pupils taking a leading role in sessions with their peers, enabling them to have meaningful conversations about their feelings and ways of dealing with stress, overcoming barriers of communication and anxiety. Thank you Mrs Whyte who has worked tirelessly to support the use of ‘kitbag’ in our school.
