The Nursery Team recognise that parents are a child’s first and most important educators. As such, working with parents in a genuine partnership is central to our practice.
Learning at Home Strategy
Our Learning at Home Strategy was introduced in session 20-21, following the first lockdown, to broadened the ways in which we work with our families. The Learning at Home Strategy enables us to ensure we plan and provide a wide range of ways to encourage parental engagement in children’s learning.
We use an app called Seesaw to provide information to parents regarding their child’s development, the nursery curriculum and nursery information. Introducing Seesaw in both rooms has enabled us to expand how we support children’s learning and development effectively at home.
