We have made an online guide about our school –
Torryburn Primary School serves the areas of Torryburn, Newmills and High Valleyfield. The nursery also serves the areas of Low Valleyfield and Culross. Torryburn is a small rural school situated in the village of Newmills with fields to the rear and the Firth of Forth to the front.
Torryburn Primary School is a beautiful old building, which was built in 1910. The main school building has six classrooms, arranged around the main hall. Two additional classrooms have been built upstairs and a nursery extension has been built to the rear of the building.
The playground is large and children also have access to an outdoor gym and an all weather pitch, as well as the public park to the rear of the school for games. The Community Garden, which is situated next to the school is used for outdoor learning by the whole school and nursery.
