{"id":3042,"date":"2025-05-26T15:11:43","date_gmt":"2025-05-26T14:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/tayportps\/?p=3042"},"modified":"2025-05-26T16:18:29","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T15:18:29","slug":"weekly-update-26-may-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/tayportps\/2025\/05\/26\/weekly-update-26-may-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Update &#8211; 26 May 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The P7 pupils extend a warm thank you<\/strong> for supporting their bake sale on Friday.\u00a0 It was a huge success and will cover the cost of the bus and a treat on their big day out!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sports day &#8211; Friday 30th May &#8211;\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">General information:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\n<ul>\n<li>Thank you to those who have already volunteered to support walking to and from the sports ground.\u00a0 Contact the parent council or phone the school office if you can help.<\/li>\n<li>P1-3 must be on the way from school to the sports ground by 9:15am latest.\u00a0 Any pupils who are late in arriving will need to walk down with older classes [and may miss their races].\u00a0 It would be very helpful if parents\/carers pre-ordered school lunches.<\/li>\n<li>We hope to commence P1-3 races at 9:30 am.<\/li>\n<li>Parents\/carers can spectate from behind the barrier around the football ground.\u00a0 Classes will be seated within the barrier and children must remain with their class at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Please note:\n<ul>\n<li>All children should bring a full water bottle.<\/li>\n<li>A fruit snack of an apple or banana will be provided by the Parent Council.\u00a0 Children have pre-ordered their preference. No other snacks should be brought.<\/li>\n<li>Apply sunscreen in the morning before school and provide a sun hat.<\/li>\n<li>If possible, children should wear their house colour.\u00a0 Morton \u2013 blue, Scotscraig \u2013 green, Kinshaldy \u2013 yellow.<\/li>\n<li>P1-3 pupils will return to school after their races and snacks [approx 10:30am].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are looking forward to a great morning of participation and everyone having a good time!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Sharing our learning &#8211; Tayport then, now and next &#8211; showcase on Friday 13th June &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>please remember to sign up asap for this school event.\u00a0 So far the afternoon timeslot is most popular so if you are able to attend in the morning please do!\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/ZJTbEB3DGq\">Click here to book.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEM Challenge<\/strong> &#8211; models and plans due in today &#8211; <strong>please put child&#8217;s name on model<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/public\/tayportps\/uploads\/sites\/12794\/2025\/05\/25132215\/STEM-Challenge-.pdf\">STEM Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Reminder<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday 2 June &#8211; Holiday &#8211; School closed to staff and pupils.<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday 3 June &#8211; Inservice day 5 &#8211; School closed to pupils.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that due to school reopening on Wednesday 4 June there will be no weekly update next week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The P7 pupils extend a warm thank you for supporting their bake sale on Friday.\u00a0 It was a huge success and will cover the cost of the bus and a treat on their big day out!
