{"id":2387,"date":"2025-01-13T13:36:33","date_gmt":"2025-01-13T13:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/tayportps\/?p=2387"},"modified":"2025-01-13T15:47:56","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T15:47:56","slug":"weekly-update-13-january-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/tayportps\/2025\/01\/13\/weekly-update-13-january-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Update &#8211; 13 January 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Class learning overviews<\/strong> for term 3 are now available on our website, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/tayportps\/classes-2\/\">here<\/a> and then select the relevant class.\u00a0 Please use the learning overview as a useful tool to talk with your child about their learning throughout the term.\u00a0 Remember that the <strong>teacher&#8217;s email address<\/strong> is also on the learning overview.\u00a0 \u00a0Please email them any news of your child&#8217;s successes from out of school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P1 applications<\/strong> for August 2025 are now open.\u00a0 Please apply promptly.\u00a0 You can access more information\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fife.gov.uk\/kb\/docs\/articles\/education2\/schools-in-fife\/apply-for-a-school-place\/enrol-in-primary-school\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Headlice<\/strong> &#8211; already this term we have had a few cases of headlice reported.\u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Please note:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A head lice infection cannot be diagnosed unless a living louse has been found on the head.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone with hair can catch head lice, meaning that the problem, whilst often more prevalent in children, is not unique to them<\/li>\n<li><i>Regular checking of children&#8217;s heads is important, but it is a parental responsibility.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Insecticide treatment should never be used as a preventative measure as the use of insecticidal products on a regular basis may result in insecticidal resistance.
