Mrs Tweed, Mrs Simpson and Mrs Holt are accompanying the children and we are all looking forward to a marvellous experience.\u00a0 Mrs Peterson will be overseeing all aspects of school and nursery during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to those <strong>bilingual parents<\/strong> who have already offered their talents to our week of language celebration.\u00a0 We would welcome further offers. Please <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/yzQFs2D10U\">click here.<\/a> if you can help.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flu Vaccine<\/strong>s for P1-6 &#8211; Wednesday 20th September.\u00a0 P7 will receive theirs on 8th November.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P1-3 shared starts<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0These are timetabled half hour slots (9-9.30am Tues 26\u2013 Thurs 28 Sep) to allow you to \u201cStay and Play\u201d with your P1-3 child.\u00a0 <span class=\"markmmd4lkwcb\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Shared<\/span> Starts give you the chance to see, at first hand, the types of activities your child is engaged in during class time.\u00a0 There will be a focus on maths due to it being <strong>Maths Week Scotland<\/strong>. The activities on offer enable you to have quality interactions with your child on a one to one or with a small group.\u00a0\u00a0Come in, take part and enjoy the importance of play!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medication in School &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>In line with Fife Council medication procedures we are now unable to administer medicines which do not have a pharmacist\u2019s label clearly stating the required dose to be taken. Any medication which would need to be administered during the school day will require an administration of medicine form to be completed and a pharmacist\u2019s label attached.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rights Respecting Schools work &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>You are already aware that we have launched our RRS work this term with our whole school topic &#8220;out rights our choices&#8221;,\u00a0 On Thursday last week P5\/6, P6 and P7 had a worthwhile visit from the Scottish Parliament.\u00a0 We know that the UNCRC is a list of promises made by almost all the governments in the world to give children what they need. There are 54 promises called articles and part of our job in school is to teach children about their rights and about how to respect others\u2019 rights. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">The key articles for us in school are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3: All decisions should be made with children\u2019s best interests and safety in mind.<\/p>\n<p>24: The right to health care, nutritious food and clean water.<\/p>\n<p>27: The right to an adequate standard of living.<\/p>\n<p>28: The right to a primary education.<\/p>\n<p>29: One of the goals of education is to teach respect for the environment and for other children an adults.<\/p>\n<p>31: The right to play and relax.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week our Primary 7s head to Ardroy for their residential and outdoor learning trip.
