As part of our Transforming Learning journey, we are excited to introduce Showbie<\/strong> for session 2026\/27.<\/p>\n This new digital platform will be used in P2-P7 classrooms to support learning, while also helping to keep you informed and involved in your child’s progress, achievements, and next steps on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n For children in P2-P7, Showbie will be used to create and share a digital portfolio of individual work linked to the targets outlined in the termly Learning Overview. This will allow you to see what your child has been learning and the progress they are making throughout the year.<\/p>\n Teachers will capture photographs or videos of learning completed by your child and upload them to their Showbie portfolio. You will then be able to view this learning on your device and use it as an opportunity to talk with your child about their experiences and achievements at school.<\/p>\n As our P6 and P7 children have access to their own 1:1 devices, they will also use additional features within Showbie to enhance their learning. For example, teachers may share a PowerPoint presentation, worksheet, or other learning resource for pupils to access on their device before completing a related task in their jotter.<\/p>\n We are excited about the opportunities Showbie offers to strengthen engagement with our families and to provide a richer insight into children’s learning. It is for announcements only, helping families stay informed about school life. We value parent and carer voice and will regularly share opportunities for families to give feedback, share their views and help us continue to improve.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A \u2018Showbie Community\u2019 is a shared space within the Showbie app that allows us to communicate information with families across the school in one central place. The Tayport Parent\/Carer Showbie Community will provide an easy way to keep up to date with wider school news, events, reminders, opportunities and important information.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We are setting up this community in response to feedback from our parents and carers. Through recent consultation, families told us that they would welcome more opportunities for parental engagement and a greater awareness of what is happening in the school. We have listened to this feedback and hope that the Parent\/Carer Showbie Community will help us strengthen communication, increase engagement and build an even stronger partnership between home and school.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We will also use the community to share links to surveys, consultations and other opportunities for you to have your say. Although posts within the community are announcements only, there will be clear ways to provide feedback when we are seeking your views.<\/span><\/p>\n How to join\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Once parents and carers have signed-up for Showbie using the individual code provided to them , they can then join the community through Showbie app using the following community code: <\/span>ETKRB6<\/span><\/b>.
