Parentsportal.scot\u202fis a new digital service to help replace the traditional school bag run by providing direct communication to parents through a growing suite of online services.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is\u202fparentsportal.scot?\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

In support of Fife Council’s ambition to continue improvement in parental engagement we have been working with national\u202fpartners to develop a “Parents Portal”.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

The portal will be developed to provide parents with a clear insight to their child’s education and to support transactional communications between parents and the school.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

Registration for a Parents Portal customer account uses the\u202fMyGovScot\u202f(My Account) service.\u202f\u202fThis is a secure and trusted service provided by the Scottish Government. Parents using\u202fIPay\u202f\/\u202fIPayimpact\u202fwill already have a My Account username and password.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new service\u202fwill introduce information about the school and will allow you to:\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 link to your child\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view school calendar\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view your child’s class timetable (for pupils in secondary school)\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view your child’s attendance\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 complete the annual data check process electronically\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 update your own as well as your child’s details at any time\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 access Parent Zone and\u202fFife.gov.uk\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 access online school payments (iPayImpact)\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 book your child\u2019s parents evenings\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 report your child\u2019s absence from school\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view your child\u2019s report card (where available)\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view and authorise child\u2019s permission slips for trips, clubs etc\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 view and access school social media sites and websites\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is an exciting first phase of a new initiative which enables and creates a digital relationship between parents, pupils and schools.\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n
