By law all children of school age are required to attend school regularly.\u00a0 In Fife we believe that every minute a child attends school provides a valuable opportunity to learn.\u00a0 We are therefore committed to ensuring that all children attend school regularly, and to\u00a0supporting you and your child where this is difficult to achieve.\u00a0 We would encourage all parents to support their children’s attendance at school and where they have any concerns contact the school to discuss these as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
Schools may contact parents directly via our new text messaging, email or voicemail system if there are concerns about a child’s attendance.\u00a0\u00a0 All Fife schools work closely with parents to help solve attendance problems.<\/p>\n
It will always be helpful to your child’s education if you can avoid taking them out of school during term time, for example appointments or holidays.<\/p>\n
