St. Leonard\u2019s Primary School and Nursery recognize the need to reduce the Cost of the School Day for all of our young people, particularly those already experiencing poverty.\u00a0 We examine the school day in the following areas;<\/p>\n
Uniform \u2013 available to anyone who needs it, lost property is recycled<\/p>\n
Travel \u2013 there is no cost to transport involving learners representing the school\/nursery<\/p>\n
Curriculum \u2013 there is no cost to any curricular activities or homework<\/p>\n
Community \u2013 we limit the number of charitable events we engage in, donation only School trips \u2013 cost is limited to less than \u00a310, families given 6 weeks\u2019 notice, we apply annually for funding to subsidize P7 residential trip<\/p>\n
Eating \u2013 we provide free breakfast for those in need<\/p>\n
Extra-Curricular Clubs \u2013 there is no cost to any extra-curricular clubs<\/p>\n
