What a busy week with two trips! On Tuesday we represented our school at the Big Sing workshop. The children have been working hard practising for months which paid off as we knew all the words off by heart. Actions were added and we had a boogie with children from other schools.
The next day involved even more excitement as we jumped on a bus and crossed the Forth to Edinburgh to visit the National Museum of Scotland. We were blown away by the size of the animals and learn about taxidermy in class. We got hands on in the technology section, which was interactive we used pulleys to lift our own weight, calculated how heavy our group was and launched a hot air balloon. When we returned back to class we wrote about our eventful day including what we show a friend if we went again.
We have been improving our listening skills each week we will complete an activity and record our score on a bar chart to see how we improve. Miss Graham hopes this will improve our listening skills for all lessons.
In maths we have been improving our times tables skills competing against the clock. In science we learnt about the infection cycle and watched a video on sneezing which opened our eyes to the spread of contamination which linked to our mini practical using talcum powder and finger painting experiment.
What an fun-filled but exhausting week!
