The Determined to Succeed initiative is designed to develop pupils’ awareness and understanding of ‘enterprise’ .

All pupils are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of ‘enterprising’ activities throughout the school year.

The activities can be based on holding an event or campaigning for a specific cause.  All children are involved in presenting a class assembly during the school year.  In the last term the pupils are involved in organizing a stall for the Summer Fair with many assisting on the day with selling.  Many other experiences are linked across the different curriculum areas.

As a class representative on any of the school committees or groups children will be given extra ‘enterprising’ experiences.

The approach used is to give children a guided responsibility to being part of a real life situation by reflecting on their role and the task they have been given.
