The Springfield Primary School Parent Council.<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n


Any parent\/carer with a child in the school can automatically become part of the parent council.<\/h3>\n

The main role of the Parent Council is to represent the views of parents and carers, to offer support to the staff and to assist with fundraising to improve the school experience for all.\u00a0

At the beginning of each academic year an Annual General Meeting is held during which office bearing positions are voted on and parents appointed.<\/div>\n

We are a friendly group and we have raised lots of money which has recently been used to support learning by allowing the school to purchase a new SMART board for the P1\/2 classroom. This update is making a huge improvement to learning and teaching across the school.<\/div>\n

We raise funds through hosting events (usually one per school term) such as school tea towels, Christmas raffle and our biggest fundraiser is our an annual summer fete held in the summer term.<\/div>\n

Parent Council meetings are held once each term and they are an opportunity to hear from the Head Teacher about what is happening at school and to ask questions. The agenda is set in advance and anyone is able to suggest an agenda item for the meeting. It is a great way to get involved and hear what is happening at school and I would encourage you to attend these meetings when you can.

The Parent Council communicate information to parents via the school (who either email this out or send it from the school app).<\/div>\n
We can also have an informal Facebook group @SpringfieldPrimarySchoolParentCouncil, Whapsapp chat or we can be contacted via email springfieldfifeparentcouncil@gmail.com<\/a>. Please email if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group.<\/div>\n

We have just launched a brand new School Fundraising Website. This will make paying for Parent Council run events and fundraising simpler and more secure for everyone!<\/div>\n
