P3-5 Class Learning – August-October 2025/2026

P3–5 have made a wonderful start to the new school year. The children have settled in really well, enjoyed getting to know the new classroom layout, and have been exploring the resources with lots of enthusiasm. This term, we are focusing on building independence, communication, and teamwork skills.

Our topic this term is Explorers. We’ll be finding out about different explorers from around the world and comparing their lives to our own. The children will also be learning how to read maps, plan journeys, and understand how land and sea features can affect travel.

In Literacy, we are working on writing detailed descriptions, while also practising our spelling, sentence structure, and vocabulary. In Numeracy, we are focusing on mental maths skills, as well as place value, estimation, directions, and coordinates.
