When they arrived, they found a man dead on the floor of his apartment. He had a cassette recorder in one hand and a gun in the other. When the detective arrived on the scene, she pressed play on the recorder, hearing the man\u2019s voice. He said, \u201cI have nothing to live for. I cannot go on,\u201d the tape ended with a gunshot.
