Everyone took part in the Poetry competition and Archie was the proud winner of the Primary 1 children.  Joshua and Freya were highly commended and Jacob was the winner of the P2 group.  Mrs MacPherson was very proud of us dancing the Balmullo Jig for the rest of the school and the parents in the afternoon.  We enjoyed watching the other classes too.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from everyone in P1/2.

We have had a very busy two weeks back with preparations for Burns Day Celebrations.  We are learning a Scottish Country Dance and a poem.

P2’s have been busy with number challenges in the morning, trying to improve speed with number bonds and a bit of problem solving too.

P2 are also learning about times tables and they are very excited about that.

P1’s are working on number knowledge within 20 including recognising numerals and they know about numbers bigger than 20 too!

This term our topic is transport focusing on local and Scottish elements.

We are all continuing to enjoy Letterland and it helps us with spelling and reading.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Christmas Market

We had great fun making things to sell at the Christmas market. We made Reindeer out of candy canes and enjoyed counting out tablet squares to put in Christmas bags.  We raffled a Christmas cake too and helped take the money.  We called our shop “The Christmas Candy Shop” and P2’s made posters using Word Art which we displayed beside our stall.  We raised around £120.
