School staff recognise and reward pupils with tokens for Safe, Kind, Respectful and Ambitious behaviour. The number of tokens are recorded per class and success is shared and celebrated weekly during a virtual assembly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognising achievement is an integral part of Curriculum for Excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The reasons for recognising learners\u2019 achievements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to increase self-esteem, improve motivation and keep young people engaged in learning<\/li>\n<li>to encourage young people to reflect on their learning \u2013 where they are and where they want to go \u2013 and help them to articulate the skills gained, in discussion with other learning partners and in interviews with potential employers, colleges or higher education<\/li>\n<li>to help deliver the aims, values and purposes of Curriculum for Excellence \u2013 in which planning opportunities for achievement is an integral part of the curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Wow Work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each teacher chooses a piece of &#8216;Wow Work&#8217; from their class to celebrate at our Whole School Gathering on Friday.
