School Uniform

School Uniform

As part of the school ethos, it is important that children wear our school uniform. It encourages children to be proud of our school and to feel part of the school community.  The majority of children wear the school colours and your continued support is much appreciated.

School colours are as follows:

  • white/green polo shirts
  • white shirt
  • school tie
  • plain grey/black skirt or trousers
  • grey/green sweatshirt

Primary seven pupils have black school sweatshirts. This allows our most responsible pupils the prestige of leading the younger pupils more effectively. The wearing of football shirts is not permitted at any time. Children should not wear sweatshirts with large sports logos or jogging bottoms in class. Hooded tops should be worn outdoors only.

PE kit

As per the Scottish Government’s requirement, your child will participate in Physical Education for two hours per week.

We are changing our PE from August 2025. All pupils from P1-P7 are to wear black tracksuit, leggings, shorts with a white t-shirt.

On PE/gym days, children can come to school in this new PE kit. They can also change to a fresh white t-shirt after their lesson – this may be a preferable option for some of our older pupils. Please ensure children are wearing appropriate footwear, trainers or plimsoles, for taking part in physical activity – no crocs for PE.

To ensure that your child and others are safe from injury, no jewellery should be worn during PE.  It is preferred if pupils do not wear jewellery to school on their PE days but if you choose to allow your child to wear stud earrings you will need to provide tape for health and safety reasons.

We thank you for your support with this.
