Weekly Update 19 December 2024

We are in full festive spirit at the moment with all our parties and Christmas events taking place!

Our P3 Nativity “Christmas Recipe” was a huge success with a wonderful turn out from our P3 parents/carers. Thanks to all of you who managed to come along to support your children.

The Christmas Raffle was drawn at the end of the Nativity and winners have been contacted by the Parent Partnership! Thanks to you all for your generous donations and a special thank you to our parent partnership for all your hard work in organising the prizes.

Our Nursery children had their annual sing-a-long.  Again, we had a fantastic turn-out from parents/carers and the children sang their little hearts out! A very special visitor (in a red suit!)came while they were singing to deliver their presents!

This week all classes (P1 to P7) are sending out Scots Poems so that children have them to practise over the Christmas break. Winners will perform at our Scottish Ceilidh to Families on Thursday 30th January 2025 at 1.30pm

The list of poems for each year group is as follows:

P1 – Gruffalo in scots/Wee red motor/My wee doggie/Robin Reidbriest

Hello Everyone!

With just 3 weeks left of this term we truly are  on the countdown to Christmas!

P3 Infant Nativity tickets are now available to order. A form came home on Friday. Please contact the school office if your P3 child did not bring one home. Tickets are priced at £1 each. Seating capacity in the Sports Hall mean that we have limited tickets to offer so please make sure you fill out the form and send it back to school as soon as you can.

All children in the school have been taking part in Master classes on Thursday afternoons. The last one for this term will be this Thursday 5 December.

The parent partnership are still looking for donations for our raffle for house coloured themed Christmas Hampers.

Our Nursery took part in their “Wellie Waddle” last week. This was really successful with lots of fun and laughter. With the colder weather please ensure your child is coming to school suitably clothed for the outdoors – jackets, hats, scarves and gloves. Not only are they outside at playtimes and lunchtimes but each class also participates in our Outdoor Learning sessions.

It would be really helpful if your child had a change of shoes on wet days
