NURSERY ENROLMENT – Will reopen again 2026
Please note that applications for August 2026, January 2027 and April 2027 must be made by 31st January 2026. Any applications received after this date will be considered late and processed after the initial panel process.
Every child is entitled to a nursery place from the first intake after their third birthday. That means:
- Starting in August: Your child must be three before 31 August 2026
- Starting in January: Your child must be three before 31 December 2026
- Starting in April: Your child must be three before the last day of February 2027
The session type offered at Pitcoudie Nursery is:
- 6hrs Mon – Fri (Term Time)

P1 ENROLMENT – Will reopen again 2026
Parents and carers enrolling their child(ren) for Primary one or looking to request a place for their child(ren) at another school, which isn’t their catchment school, for the 2025/26 session can now do this quickly and easily online.
Fife Council have a new online application form, to make things easier for parents and carers.
Applications to your child’s catchment school, should be completed by registering your child by completing the online form before 15th March 2026 to allow school staff to review the information.

As part of the online enrollment process parents/carers will also be required to upload photos of verification documents in support of the application. These are:
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate. You can also order a birth certificate here.
- 2 forms of proof that you live in the school’s catchment area (for example, council tax notification form, utility bill or child tax credit form.) – If you don’t have a paper bill, you can download a copy of your council tax bill from within your online account here.
- The council tax notification must be your most recent bill, issued for 2024/25.
- The utility bill must not be more than 6 months old.
P7 Transition to High School
Our P7 pupils benefit from a programme of transition events in P7 to support their move to Glenrothes High School.
P7 pupils have three full days at GHS in the summer term where they follow a typical timetable, meet teachers and try out new subjects. However, our transition activities begin much earlier and include a range of events both in Pitcoudie and at Glenrothes High. Information about planned dates will be shared with Primary 7 pupils and their parents/ carers.
