Welcome

Welcome to Pitcoudie Primary School & Nursery

Vision: Learning Today for Tomorrow

Our Values

Ambition • Honesty • Responsibility • Respect

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Pitcoudie Primary School & Nursery.

At Pitcoudie, our vision of “Learning today for tomorrow” is at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to enjoy learning, develop their talents and abilities, and gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future.

Our values of Ambition, Honesty, Responsibility and Respect underpin life across our school and nursery. They guide how we learn, how we treat one another and how we work together as a community.

Pitcoudie Primary School opened in 1978 and proudly serves the Balfarg, Cadham and Pitcoudie areas of Glenrothes. We are a happy, welcoming and inclusive school community where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their very best.

At the heart of Pitcoudie is our commitment to working in partnership with our children, families and wider community. Together, we strive to provide high-quality learning experiences within a nurturing, supportive and inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Through Curriculum for Excellence, we provide our children with a rich, broad and engaging education. Learning takes place both in the classroom and beyond, with opportunities to participate in music, sport, clubs, wider achievement activities and a residential experience for our Primary 7 pupils. Through these experiences, we support our children to become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens and Effective Contributors.

We recognise the important role families play in children’s learning and wellbeing and value the strong partnerships we have with our parents and carers. Our Parent Partnership also plays an active role in supporting and enriching the life of our school.

We are extremely proud of our school and nursery and of the children, families and staff who make Pitcoudie such a special community. We hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Pitcoudie and the many opportunities available to our children.

We would be delighted to welcome you to Pitcoudie. If you would like to find out more about our school and nursery, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
