I would like to wish everyone a warm welcome to Pitcoudie Primary School & Nursery.

Pitcoudie Primary School was opened in 1978 to serve the Balfarg, Cadham and Pitcoudie areas of Glenrothes.

The main school building comprises of  four open plan wings, each accommodating two or three classes. We have a dedicated Learning Support base, games hall / dining area,  auxiliary support base, and nurture area. We are lucky to have expansive and attractive grounds which are used for play, outdoor games and sports.

Our Nursery is accommodated in a building which offers spaces for up to 70 children on a full-time basis. Sessions run Monday to Friday from  9.00am to 3.00pm.

The school aims to create an ethos where pupils, parents and staff work together in partnership to produce the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.

We follow the national curriculum, Curriculum for Excellence, where we develop children’s learning through a rich and broad general education, whilst encouraging them to become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens and Effective Contributors. School life is enriched by various activities, including opportunities for instrumental instruction, attendance at after-school clubs and annual residential experiences for P7 pupils. Our Parent Partnership is well-established and parents are welcomed as volunteer helpers during the school day.
