At Paxton Nursery, we understand that transitions can be exciting yet sometimes challenging<\/strong> for children and families. That\u2019s why we carefully plan and support every step of your child\u2019s early learning journey \u2014 from Early Entry through to starting school.<\/p>\n For our youngest learners in the Butterfly Room, we focus on settling in gently<\/strong>. We work closely with families to create familiar routines, provide a nurturing environment, and build secure attachments. Our goal is for children to feel safe, happy, and confident as they explore and learn.<\/p>\n Before starting in the Sunflower and Rainbow Rooms, children are invited to two settling-in visits<\/strong>. During these sessions, they can explore the nursery, meet our friendly staff, and get familiar with their new playrooms<\/strong>. We also run a Bookbug session<\/strong> to introduce children to stories, songs, and rhymes, helping them feel comfortable in a group setting. Families receive enrolment packs<\/strong> with all the information they need, making the transition smooth and reassuring for both children and parents.<\/p>\n When children are ready to move on to school, we provide a carefully supported transition program<\/strong>. This includes visits from local schools, sharing learning profiles, and preparing children for the routines and expectations of school life.
