P4 and Miss Blackwood<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P4 have been exploring their Rights of a Child with Miss Blackwood. They are showing an improved understanding of what is means to be a respectful learner and how this impacts upon the rest of the class.<\/p>\n

They have also begun their QI writing journey! They are loving seeing their progress and know exactly what their goal is and how they can achieve it!<\/p>\n

They have also been learning all about the life of Vikings. They have found out where they are from, their gods and created viking longships as well as creating their own rune stones.<\/p>\n

P5 and Miss Lloyd<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P5 have gone on a space adventure! They have examined gravity by create egg parachutes, researched the first man on the moon Neil Armstrong and used their knowledge of the planets to make a Milky Way galaxy spiral!<\/p>\n

Within their QI project, they have been perfecting punctuation. They have smashed their target of 80% and are now looking at descriptive features. They are confident they are going to smash this target soon too!<\/p>\n

P5\/6 and Mr Harrison<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In P5\/6, they have been exploring “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. They have create fantastic, descriptive narratives and even used this as a stimulus for writing play scripts!\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In their topic, they have been finding out all about different celebrations including Diwali, Hannukah, Christingle and Christmas itself. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

P6 and Mr Neighbours<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P6 have been learning all about diversity and equality through history. They have researched Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and George Floyd as well as the controversies and opinions around current issues. They have also been looking at persuasive language. This has resulted in them bringing all of these skills and understanding together to create wonderful anti-racism clothing!<\/p>\n

P6\/7 and Mr Bowman<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P6\/7 have been investigating Scotland. They became really interested in how the Vikings became involved in Scottish history which resulted in a mini exploration into the world of a viking. They have ultimately learned about long-boats, weapons, shields, armour and how to write their name in Ancient Norse.<\/p>\n

P7 and Mr Dewar<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P7 have been exploring Scotland since October. The children have explored all aspects including the geography and the natural landscape, both past and present, famous wars and battles, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace, Scottish Inventors and much more.<\/p>\n

Our QI writing has been focusing on perfecting capital letters and full stops. As a class, we have perfected this and will be looking at openers and paragraphs in term 3.<\/p>\n
