This week in primary 6 we have been practising our Junior leader skills, we picked classes and then wrote what we wanted to play with them. We made a timetable for the term ahead and used some of the games that we have been learning as part of our plan.
In maths the pentagons have been finishing off their time board games and the squares and triangles have been working on their minutes and seconds.
P6’s topic this term is World War 2, we have started watching a movie called Goodnight Mr Tom so that we can compare it to the book. Our new class novel called Hitler’s Canary about a boy who lived in Denmark during the war. We are planning to compare the life of a child in a neutral country during WW2 to the life of a child in Britain through these two novels.
This week we were given the option to take part in the BBC 500-word story but since not everyone wants to take part P6 will have the opportunity to work on it at home.
In science this term P6 are learning about water conservation we made posters about why it is import.
