This week we have had lots of fun making our Christmas cards. We tried a few different designs but landed upon a Christmas tree decorated with delightful bobbles and a Christmas message. They have now been sent off to get put on cards and cups and much more.
We have also enjoyed our committees having a responsibility in either JRSO, health and wellbeing, charities and enterprise, rights respecting or eco. There has also been an apple competition organised by the charities and enterprise committee everyone has had fun making their apples.
In our novel, Divided City, there is a lot about discrimination which has been one of our learning focuses this term. We did talks on discrimination about what we have learned. It was our first paired talk of P6 and everyone did very well.
We have worked hard designing and drawing football boots with anti discrimination messages on them. We cut them out and stuck them on our classroom wall. They look amazing!
For our writing we have been using characters in our book and writing diary extracts about them. We wrote it in first person and had to write it in informal text like we were talking to the diary.
In PE we have been working on our football skills. Learning to pass the ball with our inner foot. We have also been working hard on our netball skills preparing for the last term when we might play Wormit.
Skills academy’s are going to start up again next term we have all picked our academy and are excited to learn new skills such as STEM gymnastics origami playground games or board games.
And last but not least we have been learning and creating posters about friction and force in football. We shall hopefully present them next term and have enjoyed working with our partners to learn more about friction and force.
We have had a very successful and fun term but we definitely deserve a rest. See you next term. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
