Our final Friday of the term! We have had another busy week in P5.<\/p>\n
We enjoyed participating in a debate all about junk food advertising and whether it was correct to have a ban before 9pm. Lots of interesting points were made and we were learning to think carefully before we contribute and listen respectfully to the points made by others. We then wrote a discussion piece of writing including both sides of the debate. Our next step is to add rhetorical questions and use more persuasive language.<\/p>\n
We have been learning strategies to calculate intervals of time and interpretating timetables, including ones in our local area.<\/p>\n
In our Health and Wellbeing work, we have been analysing food packaging to see what the information tells us. We have also been developing our skills in gymnastics and giving feedback about each other’s performance.<\/p>\n
We have chosen to find out about how Easter is celebrated in French speaking countries across the world to share at the Easter service next week. We have used ICT skills to research and then display our findings.<\/p>\n
We have learned about vocabulary linked to Easter in French and designed our own French Easter cards in celebration.<\/p>\n
We have been learning further about chemical reactions and reversible and irreversible changes.<\/p>\n
In outdoor learning, we were exploring textures in our environment.<\/p>\n
This week, we have met with our pupil committees over the week and have enjoyed working with others from across the school.<\/p>\n
