In our writing, we have returned to imaginative writing, using a short, silent animated film as our prompt and inspiration. We learnt about the literacy device of alliteration and had to incorporate that into our writing\u00a0to make our descriptions more interesting. In grammar, we revisited commas in a list and had to be the teacher \u2013\u00a0identifying\u00a0why sentences had been\u00a0incorrectly punctuated.\u00a0We have been presenting our\u00a0PowerPoints\u00a0on a Scottish animal of our own choosing this week \u2013 and have really impressed Miss Tannock with our skills,\u00a0preparation\u00a0and confidence.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We started our rugby block \u2013 working on using our observation skills to ensure we were in the correct place on the field to help our team and worked on passing and catching in groups.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We created \u2018Rose and Thistle\u2019 art, inspired by Robert Burns and Charles Rennie Macintosh, which involved close listening skills to follow instructions carefully.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A gentle reminder \u2013\u00a0please\u00a0could we have all spelling jotters back in school for Monday morning at the latest, as this is when the following week\u2019s homework is set.
