What a chilly start to the term. We hope you had a lovely break.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This week we have started using the column method for subtraction\u00a0and are working hard at remembering all the steps we need to be successful. We have been learning that subtraction is not commutative \u2013 so we cannot change the order over like we could do when adding.\u00a0We have also started our learning about money and have been budgeting for\u00a0everyday life\u00a0with\u00a0our budget of chickpeas!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We picked the Scots poems that we are going to learn to recite in class \u2013 copies have come home with us so we would love it if you could help us practice.\u00a0We have been studying a Scots poem \u2013 Willie\u00a0Wastle\u2019s\u00a0Wife by Robbie Burns. We have been\u00a0identifying\u00a0the language that we do not know the meaning of and using a glossary to translate\u00a0these terms. We also drew an annotated drawing of Willie\u00a0Wastle\u2019s\u00a0wife, using evidence from the text.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In PE,\u00a0we avoided the cold and ice and did some calming yoga \u2013 talking about how this can support flexibility and\u00a0strength.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We have also been enjoying our skills academies \u2013 ask us what we have been doing!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back everyone!
