We took notes and then used our notes to write an information text about him. We wrote straight on to Word to use our Digital Technology skills. We were able to add a photo too.<\/p>\n<p>We practised using similes to describe some pictures. We also used an image of Mr and Mrs Twit from the class novel we read to write a description using alliteration, similes and colour matching. We are very creative describers!<\/p>\n<p>In Numeracy, we learnt about fractions, using Play-Doh to make halves, quarters, thirds and eighths! We are able to recognise and show simple fractions.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our topic, we learnt about scale that is used on maps. We used a 1:10 scale to make models with the Play-Doh of David Attenborough and a labrador or an emperor penguin. Because David Attenborough is approximately 180cm tall the model had to be 18cm tall.<\/p>\n<p>In PE, we did our running races for the Sports Day relay and we played rounders.<\/p>\n<p>In French, we learnt more body part names.<\/p>\n<p>At Loose Parts, we made animal enclosures to play in.
